Tantangan dalam Produksi Terasi Halal
Meskipun permintaan akan produk terasi halal semakin meningkat, produksi terasi halal masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan. Salah satu tantangan terbesar adalah biaya sertifikasi halal yang cukup tinggi. Bagi produsen kecil, biaya ini bisa menjadi hambatan untuk memperoleh sertifikasi halal, meskipun produk mereka diproduksi dengan cara yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam.
Selain itu, terdapat kurangnya pemahaman yang memadai tentang proses sertifikasi halal di kalangan sebagian produsen. Beberapa produsen mungkin tidak menyadari pentingnya sertifikasi halal atau merasa bahwa prosesnya terlalu rumit dan memakan waktu. Padahal, sertifikasi halal dapat memberikan banyak manfaat, termasuk peningkatan kepercayaan konsumen dan daya saing produk di pasar global.
Tantangan lain adalah persaingan dengan produk terasi impor yang mungkin lebih murah dan lebih mudah ditemukan di pasar. Namun, produk impor tersebut mungkin tidak selalu memenuhi standar halal yang sama dengan produk lokal yang sudah bersertifikasi. Untuk itu, diperlukan kerja sama antara pemerintah, produsen, dan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kehalalan produk dan mendukung produk-produk lokal yang telah tersertifikasi halal.

In addition, there is a lack of adequate understanding of the halal certification process among some producers. Some may not realize the importance of halal certification or may feel that the process is too complicated and time-consuming. However, halal certification can offer many benefits, including increased consumer trust and competitiveness in the global market.
Another challenge is competition from imported terasi products that may be cheaper and more readily available in the market. However, these imported products may not always meet the same halal standards as locally produced products that are certified halal. Therefore, collaboration between the government, producers, and the community is needed to raise awareness about the importance of product halalness and to support local products that are halal-certified.
